Jim Carton Memorial

The Jim Carton Memorial 5 mile road run and 6k family walk in Ballyfad Woods will take place at 11am. Cost €17 for runners, €10 walkers, and children free.  Registration from 9.45amto 10.30am on the day.  T-shirt  for runners.  Prizes for first three male and female runners. Proceeds for North Wexford Hospice and Wexford/Wicklow branch of Samararitans. Refreshments afterwards in Ballyfad Hall. Jim's anniversary mass at 9am on the morning. Féile Shield Phew, what a great weekend for the club. Both our boys and girls got to the Féile Shield semi finals on Sunday morning. That was as far as they both got, but even that was a great experience. It is a little consolation that the boys lost their first game to the eventual overall winners, Austin Stacks of Tralee, by a single point.  Every player and parent of both panels should be proud of their effort. Féile Féile week at last. You will see in the Parish next weekend. We host the U14 boys team from Balyna, North Kildare and the girls team from St Treas, Ballymaguigan, Co Derry. The schedule is: Friday 25th approx 3pm: The Derry girls arrive to stay in Kilanerin and the girls teams from Blessington and Glencar Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim arrive to play two games in Kilanerin before they return to Blessington. Club Lotto No winner in the Club Lotto on the 8th. The numbers were 8, 14, 22, 24. The next draw for €5,200 takes place in Noels on the 22nd. Results Both adult football teams had games last Friday. Club Lotto Another Jackpot Winner was too much to hope for so quickly. In fact there was not even a match 3 winner in the draw on the 23rd of May. The numbers were 2, 11, 17, 19. Sympathies Sympathies are extended to Patrick, Dermot , John and underage coach, Ray Kelly, and family of Marie Kelly, Tinnock, who passed away last week. Underage First games at underage are getting close with under 10/12 and 14s all participating in the hurling indoor tournaments in Castletown this month. U21 footballers No joy for the U21 footballers after the long trip to Fethard last Saturday week. Such is sport. Club Lotto There were no jackpot winners in the club Lotto draw of the 14th.
