Club Lotto There was no Lotto Jackpot winner on the 29th of February. The numbers were 8, 20, 23, 28. No match 3 winners either. The Jackpot has reached €3,500.  A big thanks to Noel Murphy and family for hosting recent fundraising activities in the lovely new Murphys bar. Football U6 football fun for boys and girls has started in the new hall on Saturdays from 6-7pm.  U8's are on Fridays at 6-7pm and the U10's are on Saturdays at 7.30-8.30pm. €2 per night. Championship Adult Championship groups have been published. The hurlers are in with Marshalstown, Taghmon, Liam Mellows, St James and Our Ladys Isle. Club Lotto There was no jackpot in the recent Lotto draw. There were three match 3 winners who share €200. The numbers were 12, 17, 18, 23. Next draw is in Noel's on Monday the 1st February. Football Team of the week goes to the boys U12 footballers who beat Ballyhogue by one point (thanks to Cian Hughes and his goal with the last kick of the game) in a pendulum swinging, high scoring semi final. The score was 7-6 to 5-13.  Boys knockout games continue with U16 Monday in Gorey, U12 hurling in Ferns Club on Tuesday U18s on Wednesday and U14 f/b v Gorey in Ferns centre on Thursday. Team of the week is easy this week. That honour goes to the girls U14 footballers who won their finalon Thursday evening in Adamstown , beating Fethard. All the girls teams are doing very well, a reflection of the big numbers playing GAA this year.  On that note, well done to the U8 and U10 girls on perhaps the largest Blitz ever held in Kilanerin with 15 teams involved, representing three counties. Hard luck to the adult hurlers who were beaten by Monagear in the Div 3 league final. This was an exciting game with some great scoring. Take a bow Peter and Bobby amongst others. This result will give good optimism for the championship in two or three weeks when hopefully the full panel will be available. The score was 0-16 to 0-13. Hurling Well done to the adult hurlers who beat St James in the league semi final last Saturday. The score was 1-13 to 1-12. It was an exciting game and again, despite being a home game, not enough support. The final could be this weekend.
