Féile
Féile week at last. You will see in the Parish next weekend. We host the U14 boys team from Balyna, North Kildare and the girls team from St Treas, Ballymaguigan, Co Derry.

The schedule is:
Friday 25th approx 3pm: The Derry girls arrive to stay in Kilanerin and the girls teams from Blessington and Glencar Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim arrive to play two games in Kilanerin before they return to Blessington. There shall be four girls games, two at 5pm and two at 6pm. Meanwhile, the boys team head to Dunlavin, Co Wicklow to play Dunlavin and a team from Kerry, again at 5 &6 pm. Then it is off to the Tesco carpark for the start of the Féile parade at 8.15pm. There shall be 26 teams plus three bands in the parade which passes by the post office, the review platform on main street and ends at the community school. The parade itself will take approx 30 minutes to pass and all will be heading home from 9.30/10pm. That is when the Kildare boys first come to Kilanerin, where the team shall be hosted for the weekend.

Saturday: There is two matches in the field between us and both visiting teams. After lunch, the boys head to Carlow hurling club while the girls head to Ferns. Both for quarter finals. If we get into the Semi finals, they take place in Ferns on Sunday morning. The finals are also in Ferns Sunday afternoon. Full fixture times are on the club noticeboard.
With the area looking so well, please everyone come out and support the Parish on Friday and Saturday in the field. Saturday night has a disco in the hall for the four U14 team panels. The adults shall be entertained in Noels. Apart from that, see www.kilaneringaa.ie or the notice board for news and fixtures.

Results
A great win on Saturday night last when the Ballyfad hurlers had a one point victory over Buffers Alley, The last point of the game was the only time Ballyfad were ahead. This victory is even more praiseworthy as the team were missing a few regulars, There was a big cheer from the small crowd at the final whistle acknowledging the effort put in to gain this win. It is a pity there were not more people game The final score was Ballyfad 1-18 Buffers Alley 2-14
