Old Kilnenor Historical Society

150 years ago, on 29th June 1865, the foundation stone was laid for St. Peter and Paul’s church Kilanerin, by Sir Thomas Esmond. Ashling and Pugin were the architects. The parish priest was Rev. Peter Doyle, C.C was Fr. Cahill.  Any local stories on the building of the church would be welcome by the history group.
