Lifestyle Challenge

Well done to all who are partaking in the lifestyle challenge. So far a total of 12 and a half stone and 60 inches have been lost. This week Linda Thorpe, Mental health Ireland, will speak about the importance of mental health on all aspects of our lives. First lady at last weeks whist was won by Lilly Kavanagh, second lady was Phylis O Rourke, and half time lady was Ann Cowman. First gent was won by Betty Rose, second gent was Peg Byrne, half time gent was shared by Terry and Mary McCarthy. Raffle winners on the night were Kathleen Carr, Phylis O'Rourke and Alice Gibney. Opportunity Knocks 2016

Opportunity Knocks 2016 commencing Friday, 5th February, and the preliminary rounds continue on 12th and 19th, with the final on 26th. This year on the first night we will have an extra in the audience - a mystery adjudicator who will at the end of the night have an award for the best junior and senior act on stage 0n 5th February. Football U6 football fun for boys and girls has started in the new hall on Saturdays from 6-7pm.  U8's are on Fridays at 6-7pm and the U10's are on Saturdays at 7.30-8.30pm. €2 per night. Championship Adult Championship groups have been published. The hurlers are in with Marshalstown, Taghmon, Liam Mellows, St James and Our Ladys Isle.
